MONKEY WRANGLING ENDS—
DELAMARE PAINTS AGAIN!

For two full months, during the recent move of Carnival administrative offices, David Delamare was entirely preoccupied with wrangling miscreant monkeys (see page one for details).

While all is not entirely resolved, he has at last returned to the easel.

Recently, he has been creating portraits of new carnival performers—most notably the denizens of the steam baths of the Grand Aquaria.  Due to chaos created by the monkeys he has not yet had any of these paintings professionally photographed, so these are only snapshots.  Better photos and giclée prints will be coming soon to our online galleries.
NEW PAINTINGS TO
APPEAR IN SPECTRUM

Once again David Delamare has gained admittance to the pantheon of the imaginatively deranged, officially known as Spectrum:  The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art.

The new oil paintings:  The Levitation and The Spinning Web will both appear in the 2011 volume.  Among artists of Delamare’s ilk, admittance is a great honor as it involves a highly competitive selection process juried by  masters of the genre.  To receive more regular updates about such happenings, please join us on David Delamare’s Facebook page.
MEET ARTIST NOW—
BEFORE DISASTER!

Reliable sources report that Bob Portwood, proprietor of both Robert's Bookshop and Bob's Beach Books in Lincoln City, Oregon has amassed such an enormous collection of original art in his stores (including over thirty Delamare paintings) that, added to the ponderous weight of his books, his buildings are soon expected to sink irretrievably into the earth.  There is still time to view the collections and meet David Delamare and Wendy Ice in person at the Northwest Author's Fair.  Location:  Bob's Beach Books (August 27th, 2011, noon to 3 pm).

David Delamare’s long-awaited painting inspired by Shakespeare’s
The Tempest was completed before our move.  Views of its entire creation —from modeling session to completion may be seen in an album on Facebook.)
Again, this is merely a poor quality snapshot.  Better photos coming soon!

ARTIST FAILS TO INTERVENE

Queen Alice, the Fairy Queen Titania, Carly Simon, Wagner’s Rhinemaidens, Francis Ford Coppola, pirates, and the infamous Donatello Twins have all commissioned artwork from or modeled for David Delamare.  Now, you too can join this elite society.  A few precious slots have been reserved in the artist’s schedule for personal commissions.  Due to the precarious nature of creative inspiration and artist neuroses, certain restrictions do apply.  Email Wendy Ice for more information.
The country that brought us movable type, x-rays, and the strudle has outdone themselves.  Yes, you guessed it—this fall German manufacturer Schmidt Spiele will be the first puzzle company in the world to introduce not one but four puzzles based upon Delamare fairy paintings.  Meanwhile American manufacturer The Porcelain Garden continues to lead in the lighting field with a new release of light designs based upon David Delamare’s Wonderland painting The Cheshire Cat.
The cunning creators of Britain’s FAE magazine, who have formerly revealed Carnival secrets concerning the fairy performers of The Dark Wood have now set their sights on residents of the Grand Aquaria.  This fall they launch Mermaids & Mythology, another publication that threatens to lay bare the most guarded corridors of the Carnival.  Here is a glimpse of their shocking inaugural issue, obtained by our sources.  Their brazen exploits may be followed on Facebook.
WONDERLAND RESIDENTS APPEAR AGAIN AT CARNIVAL

The residents of Wonderland have been regular visitors to the Carnival of Curiosities since Lewis Carroll first exposed them to the public in 1865.  Recently, painter David Delamare has continued to document their adventures for a book.  Delamare reports that he has completed more than half the illustrations and hopes to see the book published in late 2012.
